Hi! I loved this app. I recently migrated from other money management app because I liked the simplicity and the customization in this app. But somehow I think something is missing in recurring or repeat payment section. I thought the repeat payment on the app could be more specific. I have a repeat payment on every fourth Friday of every month that couldn’t fulfilled with your current option. Or perhaps I wasn’t aware of such a feature?

Hi, I think there’s a bug with the latest version of the app on Android (4.5.8 FO)
In the accounts page, if there are 6 digits or more for the money, the number will be completely hidden. I can’t see my outstanding loans (which are 6 digits). This happens for MYR and JPY, so I think the currency is irrelevant.

Hello I would like to know how to show monthly income and expense on the general overview for the next month . I’ve set up the some recurring income and expenses and they do not appear on the total of the next month .

The recurring charge is reflected only on that date.
It does not appear in advance.
Which means that if you make a repeat at every month 25th, it will be
shown on Mar 25, but it isnโt shown Mar 5.
When it becomes Mar 25, The repeat is shown.
Therefore, we recommend that you change the setting of reflection date.
Setting > Repeat Management > Timing of reflection > On the first day of every month.

I would like to ask how to automatically convert from sub currency to main currency in the accounts so that the total will include the converted value of sub currency to main currency.

In Money Manager, the exchange rate is not automatically applied.
If you would like to change the rate in the previous record, you need to edit the amount yourself.
In the amount field, you can change the rate directly through the globe button.
Also, when you record the sub-currency, it will automatically be converted to the main currency with the current rate saved.

Hello. How can I open a backup file on my laptop (.mmbak file)?

The backup file is only for the mobile application. It cannot be opened with PC.
If you would like to see your data on PC, you can send Excel file to your email.
(Settings > Backup > Export data to Excel)

Thank you for creating such an excellent app.
One small question. I am tracking expenses for my debit card, for example, money on the debit card is in USD currency, but I am spending in another currency, in a foreign country, let’s say it is EUR.
How can I keep exact track of both currencies? My receipts are in EUR, and my banking card statement usually says the amount spent in USD, that is, the actual amount deducted from my card, and the amount in EUR, that is from my bill/receipt.
Is there a way to enter both values? For USD and EUR? so can I keep track of both amounts?
I know I can use sub currency, for example, but the conversion is never correct, is there a way around it to have proper amounts for both?
Also, if I change the currency conversion rate, to what does it apply to? Only future entries, or will it alter previous conversions as well?

You can customize the exchange rate on the amount field when you add a transaction.
You can change the previous record and it does not affect other transactions.
We recommend input the rate as your statement/bill so that you can track with a minimized difference.

Regarding “fee”, when you transfer money to bank or people, sometimes there is fee for transferring interest. It happens in some of the transfer payments. Therefore you can add whenever fee amount occur you can add easily.

Hello, I love the application, but at the time I have asked for a function and its possibility to implement it in future updates. Unfortunately I have never received any answers.

I have another question if I may. Is there any way to edit exchange rate when transferring, say, from an EUR account to an USD account? What I am currently doing is recording an expense on my USD account to adjust the exchange rate to the one the bank used.
Example:
Example: I have transferred EUR 497.91 to an USD account. The app states I received USD 583.44, but I actually received USD 581.37, as per the bank exchange rate. What I did to correct this in the app was to record USD 2.17 as “exchange rate adjustment”, so the app figures matches actual figures
Then, is there any way other than described to manage the differences on exchange rates of the app versus the actual ones?

Just like you recorded, $2,17 can be separately added to expense transactions.
Also, you can edit the exchange rate of the previous transaction.
If you tap the amount field, there is a globe icon on the top of entry area.
The changed rate doesn’t affect the previous records.

Hi! My phone got broken hence I have to redownload the app on my new phone. But then, upon downloading, it’s all new/ no content at all. How do I retrieve my old records in my new phone?

The application saves data on your device only.
It is vulnerable to crash/malfunction/misplacement/initialization of your phone.
So, we recommend that you use the Google Drive Automated Backup feature.
1. You can check for the auto-backup file.
Connect your phone to your computer and check the /MoneyManager folder.
The size of the file that starts with “auto” should be at least 140kb.
If the date on the file is recent and the size of the file is big
enough, you can restore it using that file.
Otherwise, you cannot restore the data if you have not backed up your
data separately.
2. If you use google drive backup, you could restore your google drive
backup file.
Money Manager > Setting > Backup > Google Drive > Connect > Restore >
Select the backup file.
If you couldn’t restore from this process,
Please go to “http://drive.google.com” or Drive application and find
the folder “/MoneyManager”.
And download the backup file to the folder “/MoneyManager” or
“/download” in your phone.
After that, Money Manager > Setting > Backup > Device > Select the
file > Restore.
We will do our best to make the application better.

The image file is only saved on your phone.
In order to move your picture files, please manually copy from the โ/Pictures/MoneyManagerโ folder.
And then copy the folder to “/Pictures/MoneyManager” in your SD card.

You may connect to it using VPN which is alternative routing, we don’t recommend because your premium license cannot be checked in real time.

Hi,
I use this every day and have the premium version. I have trouble budgeting ahead because it only enters repeat transactions for the current month so the later in the month it is the less I see ahead. I have to wait for the 1st of the month for the transactions to process. Is there a way to see repeat transactions entered two or three months ahead?

Thank you very much for choosing Money Manager.
When recording cash withdrawals, we recommend that you enter it as a “transfer”.
The concept of โTransferโ in Money Manager is a transaction between your own accounts.
When you make transfers to other people, or when they make transfers to you, it is considered as income/expense.
After selecting “Transfer” on the entry page,
choose withdraw from – Bank, Deposit to cash.
That way, withdrawals are not recorded as expenses.
After that, you can enter the use of cash on Money Manager.

You can bookmark your most frequently used transaction details.
It is much more convenient to record your spendings as you do not have to record the same data each time you make a transaction.
The bookmark icon can be marked at the editing screen of your transaction. Select the transaction that you often record.
